My feeling is that if the software translates linear data of a fractal equation into a sonic sequence, it should be possible to reverse the process and see a corresponding fractal representation of a sound level. Pictures, montages or film should ultimately be able to be realised as sound. Admittedly, it's not easy to plug music into system architecture and actually "watch" the sound represented as genuine fractal zooms, bursts or even landscapes on screen but as the music has levels - or even tracks - it has the potential to be seen if plotted. There is a human phenomena called synesthaesia I believe. Some "Synesthaetics" can see music as visual vortices and even hear the whorls from visual stimuli, so the mind sets the precedent. Either way, CVE is a provocative and stunning idea. I've been thinking about a quad CPU board crunching the data through simultaneous equation buffers as a means to translate and plot both sets of input but maybe I'm thinking too Cartesian. Nath.
